With guidance from the VT Labor Relations Board, USU-NEA refiles
On Wednesday, May 9th, University Staff Union – NEA filed for a new election for UVM staff in the Administrative, Technical and Specialist job families. This means that approximately 830 “non-exempt” staff will have the opportunity to vote for a union sometime in the next couple of months. USU-NEA was ready and prepared for this and is excited to have clarity from the Vermont Labor Relations Board (VLRB).
The petition for an election comes one week after the Labor Board clarified who should be included in the first election.
USU-NEA has continued to collect authorization cards from hundreds of staff across campus and continues to be prepared and ready to build a strong, sustainable staff union for all UVM staff, including Professional staff.
